Gary Dauberman’s ‘Salem’s Lot’ Delayed to 2023

by | Jul 14, 2022

We’ve been waiting for a trailer for Gary Dauberman’s adaption of Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot and now we know why it’s not yet hit the internet. It seems that Warner Bros and Newline have not yet finished cooking the film and have pushed the film to a new date in spring of 2023.

Yes, things juts didn’t seem right, as we waited early to get our first glimpse of the film. The new film was due to hit cinemas in Sept 9th of 2021, but due to “Covid-related post-production difficulties”, it seems that the film will now be rising from the grave in early 23′. This means fans of King and his epic vampire tale will have to wait a little bit longer before they get their fanged teeth wrapped around the very first film adaption of the novel.

Deadline report that

“The start of the fall box office just got bleaker as Warner Bros is moving New Line’s adaptation of Stephen King vampire novel Salem’s Lot from Sept. 9 to April 21, 2023. I hear the move is due to Covid-related delays in the post production realm. The Gary Dauberman-directed pic also had a handful of days of additional photography six weeks ago.”

We here at Horror Land are more than happy to wait, just as long as they get it right. However, lets just hope that the studios at least release the trailer which fans caught a glimpse off at this years CinemaCon.
