Kevin Bacon Responds to Death of Tremors Co-Star Fred Ward

Last week, we lost veteran character actor Fred Ward, best known for appearances in The Right Stuff, Tremors and Short Cuts, as he passed away at the age of 79. Costar of the the hit horror Tremors, Kevin bacon, took to twitter to honor Ward in a heart felt memory that he shared with his followers. Bacon said:

 


 

Born in San Diego, Ward joined the air force before deciding to become an actor, in which he found fame in the 1979 film Escape from Alcatraz, as bank robber John Anglin. He also gained notoriety as a Vietnam vet in Uncommon Valor, and in The Right Stuff as impaired astronaut Gus Grissom. For Horror fans, he will always be remembered for his roles in Tremors and Tremors 2, where he played hired hand Earl Bassett. 

Fred Ward passed away on May 8th 2022, at age 79.
