‘Scream 6’ Will Hit in Theaters March 2023!

by | Mar 21, 2022

Following on from the massive success of Scream 5, which ahs taken a massive  $140 million at the worldwide box office, it seemed that a squeal was bound to happen sooner rather than later. And that is exactly what is happening as the thirsty money monsters at Paramount and Spyglass have ordered up another slice of slasher mayhem, looking to fill a March date for 2023.

Whilst it is very early days for the new film, the studio is no doubt concentrating all their efforts into getting a banging script together. This does mean that there is very little news to give out right now, apart from one single morsel, that Courteney Cox will be returning for the film. Courteney’s Gale Weathers, has appeared in every Scream movie to date, so it seems fitting, if not a little repetitive, that she’ll be showing up to face Ghostface again.

Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are pegged to return as directors, and James Vanderbilt & Guy Busick will also return to write the script. Let’s hope the come up with something slightly more tasty then the cop out conclusion to scream 5. It was a good slasher, just a poorly conceived third half. We’ll learn more soon.

You can catch Scream (5) out on paramount + now, and Scream, 6 will be out March 31st 2023.
