New ‘Pet Sematary’ Movie Coming to Paramount+

by | Feb 25, 2021

The Pet Sematary remake of 2019 left a bitter taste in many horror fans mouths. Whilst it was a success for Paramount Pictures it just felt a little flat. Well it seems like Paramount want another stab at it, or least add an extra title for their new streaming service. Paramount Plus, which launches on 4th March, will feature archive content as well as carrying new movies 30 days after theatrical release, and it’s here where the new Pet Sematary will air.

Paramount has confirmed that a prequel to Stephen King’s Pet Sematary is coming to its new streaming platform, with Jeff Buhler, who penned the 2019 film, will be on script writing duties. Whilst there are not much news on this right now, we’ll be sure to keep you uptodate.

Stephen King’s Pet Sematary follows The Creed family, who recently move to rural Maine with their two young children. But when tragedy strikes, the call of the nearby Pet “Sematary” brings about misery and death upon the family.

Are you ready for more Pet Sematary? What do you think the new film will be about? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram! You can also carry on the convo with me personally on Twitter @Lallen_UK
